Conditions

What do we treat at Spine Center?

If you have any of these symptoms, a clinical evaluation will help confirm the diagnosis and decide if spinal decompression is right for you.

Lumbar disc herniation

Causes: The disc's nucleus shifts and compresses a nerve root. Common between ages 30 and 60 due to overload, poor posture or injury.

Common symptoms:

  • Lower back pain radiating to the leg
  • Tingling or numbness
  • Muscle weakness

How we treat it: Computerized spinal decompression + physical therapy. Typical plan: 15–25 sessions.

Sciatica

Causes: Compression of the sciatic nerve, usually from an L4-L5 or L5-S1 herniation, piriformis syndrome or stenosis.

Common symptoms:

  • Sharp pain from buttock to foot
  • Worsens when sitting
  • Electric-shock sensation

How we treat it: Targeted lumbar decompression on the affected level. Progressive relief from the first sessions.

Chronic low back pain

Causes: Disc degeneration, core weakness, poor work posture, small herniations.

Common symptoms:

  • Low back pain > 3 months
  • Morning stiffness
  • Limits daily activities

How we treat it: Combination of decompression, strengthening and postural re-education.

Cervicalgia & cervical herniation

Causes: C5-C6 or C6-C7 herniations, prolonged screen posture, cervical trauma.

Common symptoms:

  • Neck pain
  • Tension headache
  • Pain or tingling in arm or hand

How we treat it: Specific cervical decompression + stabilization exercises.

Spinal stenosis

Causes: Narrowing of the spinal canal due to osteoarthritis or facet degeneration, common after age 60.

Common symptoms:

  • Pain when walking that improves when sitting
  • Heaviness in legs
  • Lumbar cramps

How we treat it: Conservative treatment with decompression and physical therapy to improve walking tolerance.

Disc degeneration

Causes: Natural wear of the disc, genetic factors, overweight and sedentary lifestyle.

Common symptoms:

  • Recurring pain
  • Loss of disc height visible on imaging
  • Cracking sounds when moving

How we treat it: Disc rehydration via negative pressure and postural re-education.

Warning signs

Go to an emergency room if you experience: loss of bowel or bladder control, numbness in the genital or anal area, progressive leg weakness, or pain after a hard impact. These signs require immediate medical evaluation.
